Robert Banghart is a leading voice in Nevada's healthcare and recovery community. As Director of Community Engagement at Crossroads of Southern Nevada (the state's largest indigent detox and substance use treatment center), VP of Community and Governmental Affairs at the Shine A Light Foundation, and Board President for Narcan At Night — Nevada's largest overdose awareness event — he drives impact across treatment, advocacy, and public education. He also serves as Community Faculty Associate at Roseman University College of Medicine and on the Attorney General's SURG working group, and is a 2023 graduate of Leadership Las Vegas. In long-term recovery himself since 2018, Robert brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his mission of supporting others through addiction and homelessness.

Elizabeth Cairns has worked in the behavioral health and addiction field since 2014, with national nonprofits including Partnership to End Addiction, Friends Research Institute, Center for Motivation and Change, Mobilize Recovery, and others. She is the Executive Director of the Peter G. Dodge Foundation and founder of Cygnet Projects LLC, a health-focused consulting practice. She led the development of Code Recover's clinician and peer content in collaboration with the Code Recover Clinician and Peer Advisory Councils, working closely with Dr. Michael Masiowski on the clinical material.

Arianna Campbell, MPH, PA-C is an Emergency Department and Addiction Medicine PA with over 24 years of clinical experience. She works clinically in the Emergency and Addiction Medicine at Marshall Medical Center in Placerville, California as well as at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Sacramento. Arianna completed her Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She serves as Director and co-Principal Investigator for Bridge, a program which she co-founded.

Evan Done is a person in long-term recovery from both a substance use and co-occurring mood disorder. He currently serves as the Associate Director at the Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness (USARA) which he joined as a volunteer in 2015. Evan is on the Board of Directors for the national advocacy organization Faces & Voices of Recovery and locally for the Utah Harm Reduction Coalition. In June 2024, he was appointed by Governor Spencer Cox to serve as the representative of a person with lived experience of substance use disorder to serve on Utah's newly formed Behavioral Health Commission. As a proud queer man with extensive experience in the non-profit sector and over twenty years of experience in social justice advocacy, he is dedicated to creating a more equitable, just, and sustainable world.

Racquel Garcia is the Executive Director of the HardBeauty Foundation and a nationally recognized recovery advocate, peer leader, and community builder. Drawing from her own lived experience in long-term recovery, she has dedicated her career to expanding peer support, strengthening recovery-focused systems, and ensuring people and families receive compassionate care during their most difficult moments. Racquel also serves as Chairwoman of Colorado’s Behavioral Health Administration Advisory Council and is appointed by the Attorney General to the Colorado Opioid Abatement Council.

Vanessa Genova is a mom of two and a woman in long-term recovery who believes deeply that the past doesn't have to define where you're going. She works in the recovery field, drawn to the work by her own firsthand understanding of how hard it can be to rebuild a life, and has grown into a leadership role where she supports both the people the organization serves and her own team. Outside of work, she's an avid runner and Spartan race competitor who loves a good challenge, and she prioritizes time with her family above all. She's known for being real, showing up for people, and continuing to grow, even when life gets hard.

Lindsey Jennings, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and a board-certified specialist in both Emergency Medicine and Addiction Medicine. She has dedicated her career to expanding access to opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment in emergency department settings, with a particular focus on buprenorphine initiation, peer recovery support services, and linkage to care. She brings both research expertise and frontline clinical experience to her role on the Code Recover Advisory Board.

Michael L. Masiowski, MD, is a board-certified emergency physician with nearly three decades of clinical and leadership experience. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, completed his internship at George Washington University Hospital, and his Emergency Medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He has served on opioid claimant committees in the Mallinckrodt, Endo International, and Rite Aid bankruptcies and, as Trustee of the Independent Emergency Room Physicians Trusts I and II, helped establish emergency-department programs in more than 10 states to improve the identification, treatment, and connection to care of patients with opioid use disorder. He was also a speaker at the 2024 South Carolina Governor’s Conference on Addiction. As Lead Physician Advisor to Code RecovER, Dr. Masiowski is deeply committed to ensuring that patients with opioid use disorder receive not only the highest standard of care, but also compassion, dignity, and respect.

Phillip Moschella, MD, PhD, is a board-certified Emergency Physician Scientist with an extensive background in cellular signaling. He is a full-time clinician, Clinical Associate Professor and the Associate Research Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine for Prisma Health-Upstate. His primary research emphasis surrounds HIV and HCV recognition, and linkage to care from the emergency department (ED), with several publications in top-tier emergency medicine journals. He has expanded his research interests into substance use disorders and specifically opioids. He is the PI on a large ($1.5 million over 3 years) grant from SAMHSA to evaluate the use of Alternatives to Opioids in the ED and is Co-I on two Gilead Focus Awards. He has recently published an exciting systematic review on the effects of peer-recovery services in the ED and on his alternatives to opioids project. He oversees SBIRT programs within five emergency departments within Prisma Health-Upstate which include MAT initiation. He is also part of the first pre-hospital MAT initiation program alongside Community Paramedic linkage to care and treatment for HCV across the Upstate region of South Carolina in Greenville, Pickens, Spartanburg and Oconee counties.

Nasir Naqvi, MD, PhD, is a board-certified addiction psychiatrist. He is the Program Director for the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Columbia University and NY State Psychiatric Institute, where he is also a translational cognitive neuroscientist studying the neural mechanisms of behavior change in alcohol use disorder by combining clinical and neuroimaging methods. He is also the Director of the Columbia/NYSPI Gambling Disorder Clinic. Dr. Naqvi also provides clinical care for patients with SUD and co-occurring psychiatric disorders in a number of public psychiatric settings.

Ryan Vandecasteyen is a digital strategist and co-founder of Van City Studios, where he helps nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and political campaigns turn big ideas into effective digital strategies. Specializing in NationBuilder, he works with organizations across North America to build stronger communities, engage supporters, and inspire action.
